MSEC update

Medical School Education Consultancy (MSEC)

MSEC’s latest project saw Deborah Gill and Ann Griffin travel to the capital of

Dr Gill and Dr Griffin in Astana

Kazakhstan, Astana, to provide a range of consultancy services to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Health to support the development of medical university staff and programs across Kazakhstan.  The team is looking forward to returning in December to provide some staff training and do some further consultancy work.

We are looking forward to welcoming our third cohort of visiting doctors from Ningbo University in October.  This has flourished into a valued and close relationship between our institutions and one we hope to continue to develop in the future.  Sixteen doctors from Ningbo will be joining us for 4 months to learn about medical education in the UK.  Their medical programme is taught entirely in English and attracts students from around the world.

The INSET staff training day in October will be run by the MSEC team and we’re looking forward to telling you a little more about what we do and how MSEC fits into the work of the wider medical school!
