In addition to all the teaching on the UCL MBBS course, staff at ACME deliver a number of high quality educational courses including: a range of TIPS courses on all aspects of teaching from bedside to lecture theatre; cannulation and phlebotomy skills for doctors returning to practice; and bespoke courses tailored to individual’s needs. But what about the art of presenting?
“There are two types of speakers: those that are nervous and those that are liars” (Mark Twain)
During four consecutive Wednesday afternoons/evenings in March, UCL Medical School’s Dr Jayne Kavanagh and Dr Katherine Woolf will be running a course to help people with a genuine fear of public speaking give effective presentations.
Get Presenting! is open to anyone who is very anxious about giving presentations, and wants to learn how to manage this anxiety. Participants do not need to be from the health professions and may be from any walk of life. The course has helped previous participants become significantly more confident at public speaking, and improved their presentation skills.
