A Medical School Christmas

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. While most of us were simply using the time to relax, put our feet up and eat our own body weight in mince pies, some colleagues were slightly busier. A few stories from UCLMS staff are below:

Jeannine Attreedneene2 Jeannine braved the cold North Sea on Christmas Day with her sister Jodie for the annual Christmas Day Swim in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. Jeannine and Jodie raised a fantastic £426 for Diabetes UK and would like to thank everyone who sponsored them.

Once Jeannine stopped shivering she said: “We both had a fantastic time and the water wasn’t actually anywhere near as cold as we anticipated. I would highly recommend it to anyone for an alternative Christmas morning!”

Moloy Dey
Moloy really had something to celebrate as his son Kierun Sanjoy Dey was born on Boxing Day weighing 6lb 3oz. Kierun is doing well and settling into family life with his brand new family. We wish him all the best and send our congratulations to Moloy!
